More than 50 years after its launch, the King Seiko VANAC watch has been reborn with a new movement and a distinctive Angular design.
The case and dial design are inspired by the Tokyo skyline, a landscape famous for its depictions in art, film, and popular culture, whose vibrant colors change with the time of day. While the VANAC watch boasts a distinctive and dynamic angular shape, appearing as if carved from a single piece of metal, its bezel-less design gives it an elegant and graceful appearance. The new bracelet, created by combining mirror-finished and finely finished links, provides wrist comfort and a unique sense of luxury and sophistication.
The beautiful finish of the new movement can be seen through the sapphire crystal caseback. In fact, the new VANAC is the first King Seiko watch to feature a transparent caseback since the collection's relaunch in 2022. The 8L45 caliber offers a 72-hour power reserve thanks to an improved mainspring and an accuracy of +10 to -5 seconds per day. It was developed with the robustness and other characteristics required of movements that power modern mechanical sports watches in mind. Combining high performance with functional beauty, the 8L45 caliber represents the pinnacle of Seiko mechanical watch movements. The new series is available with violet, navy blue, and silver dials, each inspired by the Tokyo skyline at different times of day: dusk, midnight, and sunrise.
